ACT was founded to develop coatings for EMI / RFI Shielding of plastic enclosures. With a mission to continually innovate and develop new finishes, the range of coatings now available has steadily grown.

Whilst many of these finishes were originally designed to meet specific customer requirements, it is clear that a larger marketplace exists.

In particular ‘Chemical Resistant’ Lacquers have applications in many industries from defence to bar-top displays. Other defence-related coatings, including ‘Nato Green’ are available as off the shelf products.

ACT has continued to develop its finishing capabilities to meet customer expectations for a one-stop finishing source. Already supplying many industries with a wide range of high-quality decorative finishes to plastic mouldings, requests were often received from existing customers for a chrome paint finish.

We now offer APPLICHROME, a process for spraying a finish that looks and feels just like electroplated chrome. The finish can be applied onto virtually any plastic or metal substrate.

ACT is currently developing the process further to coat wood, ceramic and glass substrates.
